Genesee Regional Chamber Dual Use Technology Briefing

The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) in partnership with MI-SBTDC and Saginaw Future PTAC is hosting a free training seminar that teach individuals how to get your high-tech products and ideas on the U.S. military's radar. Officials with Warren-based U.S. Army organization TARDEC -- part of the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM)-- and Biotechnology Business Consultants (BBC) will be presenting information. At the seminar, attendees learn about:
- TARDEC, part of the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) headquartered at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren. TARDEC is the U.S. laboratory for advanced military technology.
- How to access funding through the Small Business Innovation Research program (SBIR)
- The Cooperative Research and Development Agreement Program (CRADA). CRADAs are established between federal laboratories and commercial, academic, or non-profit partners to facilitate the transfer of technology between the parties for mutual benefit.
- BBC's comprehensive SBIR/STTR grant assistance program includes:
-- Grant sourcing and identification of funding opportunities
-- Strategic planning to integrate grant funding with business strategy
-- Broad-based training ranging from grant basics to intensive proposal preparation
-- In-depth scientific, business and administrative proposal review
-- Post-award administration and grant management
